# PECB ISO/IEC 42001 implementer credentials: AIMS project activity log

The thresholds come from PECB's [ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer course page](https://pecb.com/en/education-and-certification-for-individuals/iso-iec-42001/iso-iec-42001-lead-implementer), read on 2 October 2026. The log format and the advice are our suggestion. PECB decides which activities count, so check with PECB before you rely on an entry.

## What you are logging toward

| Credential | Professional experience | Of which in artificial intelligence | AIMS project activities |

| Lead Implementer | 5 years | At least 2 years | At least 300 hours |

## How to use it

1. Write each entry the week it happens. Rebuilding 300 hours from old calendars is slow, and the result is hard for anyone to check.
2. Start the AIMS activity with a stage from PECB's course agenda: initiation, planning, implementation, monitoring, continual improvement, or preparation for the certification audit. Then say in a few words what you did.
3. In the evidence column, record where the evidence lives, such as a document reference or a ticket number. Keep employer and client documents out of a personal log.
4. Ask each person before you name them under "Who can confirm", and update their contact details when they move on.
5. Unsure whether an activity counts? Mark the entry with a "?" and ask PECB before you add it to a total.
6. Add up the hours by stage each month and compare the total with 200, 300 and 1,000 hours.
7. Keep the experience summary as well. The hours log does not show your years, and your years do not show your hours.
