The distribution mirrors the domain weights the exam board publishes, so your percentage tells you something an evenly spread set cannot. Every question was written from the published blueprint and the published sources.

What does the FRM Part I Practice Questions cover?

  • 202 questions, weighted to the blueprint
  • The rationale is the product
  • The answer letters are spread on purpose

Which free guides go with this book?

How long is the FRM Part I Practice Questions?

215 pages. Paperback and Kindle.

Which Credential Press line is it part of?

Part of the Finance line. FRM Part I and Part II: study guides and practice questions for GARP's Financial Risk Manager exams.

What else is in the Finance line?

Questions readers ask about the FRM Part I Practice Questions

Which exam are these questions for, and are they current?

The GARP Financial Risk Manager Exam Part I, to GARP's 2026 FRM Study Guide, checked against GARP's published copy on 25 August 2026.

How many FRM practice questions are in it?

202, in four parts, one for each area of the exam. The percentages are GARP's. The counts are this book's, set in line with them, because GARP does not publish how many questions come from each area.

What does an FRM Part 1 rationale show me?

Why the right answer is right and why the tempting wrong options fail. For a USD 10 million portfolio with a 2 percent daily standard deviation, 1.645 times 0.02 times USD 10 million gives a 95 percent VaR of USD 329,000.

Is this an FRM question bank or a mock exam?

A question bank, organized by area rather than as 100-question papers, so you can drill the areas where you lose marks. For a timed run, take 100 questions across the parts and allow 4 hours, the real exam's time.

What score should I aim for?

GARP publishes no pass mark. If you have seen a percentage, it is a pass rate for one sitting, not a threshold. Track the areas you keep losing instead.

How is the real exam delivered?

Multiple choice, by computer-based testing, in May, August and November. Results reach the candidate portal within eight weeks of the window closing.

Are these real exam questions?

No. Every one was written for this book and checked a second time by a different reader. A book that reprints real items is either lying about them or breaching GARP's terms.

What happens after I pass Part I?

You have four years from that date to pass Part II. Certification then needs two years of relevant full-time experience, submitted within 10 years of sitting Part II.

Do the weights change each year?

They can. GARP reviews its topics and their weightings every year, so check the edition before you study. This one covers the 2026 Study Guide.

Do I need the GARP FRM Part I Exam Guide too?

It sells separately and it is not a GARP product. Every question here is answerable from it, and it teaches the areas these questions test in 13 chapters.

Where does this fit in my FRM exam prep?

Work a whole section without looking. Mark it. Then read every rationale, including the ones you got right, because a right answer for the wrong reason is the failure this book exists to catch.

Is FRM Part I Practice Questions on sale yet?

Yes. It is on sale on Amazon in paperback and Kindle editions.

How long is it?

215 pages. Paperback and Kindle.

Who is it for?

Anyone preparing for the examination it covers, and the trainers and librarians supporting them. It assumes you are a working professional paying for the exam yourself and studying in the evenings.

What is it written from?

GARP's own published blueprint, and the primary text of the law, standard or framework the exam tests. Not from a summary, not from another preparation book, and not from a model's memory. Each source is listed at the back with the date it was checked.

How is it weighted?

By the exam board's own published blueprint. A domain that carries more of the exam gets more of the book, so you can see where the marks are before deciding where your evenings go.

Will it tell me the pass rate?

Not as a promise. GARP publishes a pass rate for each sitting on its FRM Program and Exams page: for November 2025, 47% for Part I and 50% for Part II (read 2 October 2026). That describes a past sitting. GARP publishes no pass mark and reports results as pass or fail.

Is it a substitute for the standard or the law?

No. Where the exam tests a paid standard, you will need your own licensed copy, and the book says so rather than pretending otherwise. Where the law is public, the book teaches from its own text and cites it.

Is Credential Press independent of GARP?

Yes, and that cuts both ways. Credential Press is an imprint of Verity AI Ltd. It has no affiliation with GARP, no sponsorship from it and no endorsement by it, and it has no inside knowledge of the exam either. Trademarks are used only to identify the examination the book prepares you for.

What happens if you get something wrong?

Send the chapter, the edition date and the source that contradicts us to hello@credentialpress.com. Confirmed corrections go into the next revision and the edition date moves forward, so readers can tell which one they have.

Can trainers, teams and libraries buy copies?

Yes, through Amazon: the book page links to its Amazon listing. We do not sell direct, offer bulk discounts or send free desk copies. Individual readers can ask for a free reader copy on the free copies page; we ask once for an honest review, and nothing depends on it. Buying for a team? See credentialpress.com/teams.
