Questions readers ask about the CISA Practice Questions

Which exam are these CISA practice questions for?

The ISACA CISA exam, for the Certified Information Systems Auditor credential, written to ISACA's Candidate Guide version 1.26 and the outline effective August 2024.

Why 36, 36, 24, 52 and 52?

The percentages are ISACA's. The counts are this book's arithmetic on them, because ISACA does not publish how many questions come from each domain. Each count is the domain's percentage of 200.

Are these ISACA CISA question and answers from the real exam?

No. Every question was written for this book. ISACA bans copying, memorizing or sharing exam content, and breaking that rule can void your exam.

Can I use them as timed CISA practice exams?

Yes, in blocks. The questions are grouped by domain, not into 150-question papers. The real exam gives you 240 minutes for 150 questions, 96 seconds each, so time a block at that pace.

Should I guess when I do not know?

On the real exam, yes. ISACA does not penalize wrong answers and scores only the number you get right, so leave nothing blank.

What score on these means I am ready?

No book can tell you. ISACA scores from 200 to 800 with 450 to pass, and does not publish how raw scores convert. Use your misses to find the weak domain.

Will I see my real result on the day?

You see a preliminary pass or fail on screen as soon as you finish. The official score follows by email within 10 working days.

What does each real attempt cost?

US$575 for ISACA members and US$760 for everyone else, paid in full for every attempt. After a fail you wait 30 days, then 90 days for the next.

Can I sit the real exam from home?

Yes. ISACA runs it at PSI test centers or by remote proctoring, closed book, with a room and desk scan first.

Can I challenge a fail on the real exam?

Yes. PSI will rescore it for US$75 if you ask in writing within 30 days of the results.

Can I guess by letter?

No. The keys across A, B, C and D follow no pattern you can use. If you catch yourself guessing by letter, go back to the guide.

Is this enough for CISA certification on its own?

It is the practice half of a pair. The teaching is in CISA Exam Guide, 12 chapters across the same five domains. A pass is also only the first step: ISACA then asks for an application showing your experience.

Is CISA Practice Questions on sale yet?

Yes. It is on sale on Amazon in paperback and Kindle editions.

How long is it?

214 pages. Paperback and Kindle.

Who is it for?

Anyone preparing for the examination it covers, and the trainers and librarians supporting them. It assumes you are a working professional paying for the exam yourself and studying in the evenings.

What is it written from?

ISACA's own published blueprint, and the primary text of the law, standard or framework the exam tests. Not from a summary, not from another preparation book, and not from a model's memory. Each source is listed at the back with the date it was checked.

How is it weighted?

By the exam board's own published blueprint. A domain that carries more of the exam gets more of the book, so you can see where the marks are before deciding where your evenings go.

Will it tell me the pass rate?

No. ISACA does not publish one for this exam, and this book states nothing it cannot trace.

Is it a substitute for the standard or the law?

No. Where the exam tests a paid standard, you will need your own licensed copy, and the book says so rather than pretending otherwise. Where the law is public, the book teaches from its own text and cites it.

Is Credential Press independent of ISACA?

Yes, and that cuts both ways. Credential Press is an imprint of Verity AI Ltd. It has no affiliation with ISACA, no sponsorship from it and no endorsement by it, and it has no inside knowledge of the exam either. Trademarks are used only to identify the examination the book prepares you for.

What happens if you get something wrong?

Send the chapter, the edition date and the source that contradicts us to hello@credentialpress.com. Confirmed corrections go into the next revision and the edition date moves forward, so readers can tell which one they have.

Can trainers, teams and libraries buy copies?

Yes, through Amazon: the book page links to its Amazon listing. We do not sell direct, offer bulk discounts or send free desk copies. Individual readers can ask for a free reader copy on the free copies page; we ask once for an honest review, and nothing depends on it. Buying for a team? See credentialpress.com/teams.
