Questions readers ask about the CRISC Practice Questions
Which exam are these ISACA CRISC questions for, and are they current?
The ISACA Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control exam, known as CRISC, to the Candidate Guide v1.26 and the Exam Content Outline effective 2025.
What is the CRISC exam format?
150 multiple-choice questions in 4 hours, each with a stem, four options and one best answer. There is no penalty for a wrong answer, so answer every question.
What is the CRISC pass mark?
ISACA reports a scaled score from 200 to 800, and 450 is a pass. It does not publish how raw scores convert, so there is no percentage pass mark, and no rationale here gives you one.
How much does the CRISC exam cost?
US$575 for ISACA members and US$760 for nonmembers. The fee is nonrefundable, and you pay it in full again for each attempt.
Can I take the CRISC exam from home?
Yes. ISACA offers it at a PSI testing center or remotely proctored, and the remote exam is closed book. Food and drink, water included, are banned at both.
Are these real exam questions?
No. Every one was written for this book from the published blueprint and source material, then checked a second time by a different reader. None is a real exam item.
Will I meet scenario questions on the real exam?
Possibly. ISACA says some questions describe a situation and ask two or more questions about it. Every question in this book stands alone, with its own stem.
How many CRISC practice questions come from each domain?
ISACA publishes percentages, not counts. The counts here are this book's, set in line with those percentages, so Risk Response and Reporting, at 32%, gets the most.
What does CRISC certification ISACA 2026 require after the exam?
Passing is the first step. Then you pay a US$50 application fee, apply with your experience, and follow the ethics code and CPE policy. You have five years from passing to apply.
Where does this fit in my CRISC exam prep?
It is the practice half of a pair. The teaching is in CRISC Exam Guide: 14 chapters across the same four domains, each drafted against ISACA's supporting tasks.
Is CRISC Practice Questions on sale yet?
Yes. It is on sale on Amazon in paperback and Kindle editions.
How long is it?
220 pages. Paperback and Kindle.
Who is it for?
Anyone preparing for the examination it covers, and the trainers and librarians supporting them. It assumes you are a working professional paying for the exam yourself and studying in the evenings.
How is it weighted?
By the exam board's own published blueprint. A domain that carries more of the exam gets more of the book, so you can see where the marks are before deciding where your evenings go.
Will it tell me the pass rate?
No. ISACA does not publish one for this exam, and this book states nothing it cannot trace.
Is it a substitute for the standard or the law?
No. Where the exam tests a paid standard, you will need your own licensed copy, and the book says so rather than pretending otherwise. Where the law is public, the book teaches from its own text and cites it.
Is Credential Press independent of ISACA?
Yes, and that cuts both ways. Credential Press is an imprint of Verity AI Ltd. It has no affiliation with ISACA, no sponsorship from it and no endorsement by it, and it has no inside knowledge of the exam either. Trademarks are used only to identify the examination the book prepares you for.
What happens if you get something wrong?
Send the chapter, the edition date and the source that contradicts us to hello@credentialpress.com. Confirmed corrections go into the next revision and the edition date moves forward, so readers can tell which one they have.
Can trainers, teams and libraries buy copies?
Yes, through Amazon: the book page links to its Amazon listing. We do not sell direct, offer bulk discounts or send free desk copies. Individual readers can ask for a free reader copy on the free copies page; we ask once for an honest review, and nothing depends on it. Buying for a team? See credentialpress.com/teams.
